The water is rising.
I'm not sure I would want to see the Spiral Jetty covered with murky salt water.
My ideal has always been low water pink from the halobacterium & rocks encrusted in white.

Who knows?
One day when I am wandering through Utah in need of returning the Amarillo Rock Ramp to Spiral Jetty to complete the circle, it might look like Garner's photograph.
Either way the rusty red rock from Amarillo may never blend in with the basalt.
Maybe someone will pick up that rock from the Texas Panhandle and wonder where it came from before the salt coats it too.
