There are 56 tomatoes, 15 peaches, and 12 tomatillos on my kitchen counter; nine ears of corn, two gallons of blackberries, and basil pesto in the freezer; pickled beets, roasted eggplant dip, and tarragon/parsley pesto in the fridge; and zuccini date muffins and zucchini bread on the cooling rack. The last two evenings have felt more like this:
